Two trend colors will define the fashion world and the design sector in 2022. The color company Pantone has named the shade "Very Peri" the color of the year 2022. A traditional blue is combined with the energy of red in this trend color 2022. Very Peri is a hue reminiscent of colors commonly found in nature, such as lavender flowers.
"Pantone 17-3938 Very Peri is a symbol of the global zeitgeist and the transition we are experiencing," explains Pantone with its corporate research department, the Pantone Color Institute, which has been selecting a color of the year since 2000.
And orange, in all its gradations, will also shape the fashion trend in 2022. One of the most striking implementations can be found at Gucci, with a skirt with a wave pattern, in bright fresh orange. And the influence of the orange hue will also be seen in all pastel shades in 2022.
Orange will also be combined with various shades of purple in 2022, in outfits with spectacular color gradients. Actually, orange is a summer color, but now the color gets a reinterpretation, because so-called Burnt Orange is a muted, dark, but still strong version of the classic, which is combined with bluish to brownish undertones and thus symbolizes warmth as well as security.
